It was a very rough season for the Maplewood High School Panthers of Music City. There was a lot of hope heading into the season, but there were huge, confidence-shaking obstacles that departed them from the rest such as injuries and disadvantages. There were tears and at times people just seemed to doubt them.
“Maybe next year,” they all said.
However, through all the adversity, the mighty Panthers kept their head up with one mindset and that was to succeed. Rallying behind one of the most passionate coaches in all of Metro, Arcentae Broome, and his well-respected crew, this team managed to surprise everyone by conquering White House Friday, October 30th and emerging as solid playoff contenders.
What’s next from this point on? Only God himself knows. But, what I can tell you is this team is hungry and dangerous with a huge chip on their shoulder.
