The Tennessee Titans have had a good off season thus far. One of their biggest offseason moves: signing running DeMarco Murray, and former Titans running back Eddie George praised it.

“I really like it,” George said via Titansonline.com. “It’s a bold move, and I think the Titans are getting a player in DeMarco Murray who feels disrespected after leaving Philadelphia and he wants to prove his worth. He is coming back with a chip on his shoulder and the Titans desperately need a running game to help Marcus Mariota.”

Eddie George strongly complimented quarterback Steve McNair back in the historic days. G.M Robinson is trying to recreate that with Murray and Marcus Mariota. If the quarterback can excell, the team will excell.

“That move told me something. I really like it, to pick up a veteran running back who is undervalued, a guy who will be coming in with something to prove. I like the moves I’ve seen so far from the Titans.” – via Titansonline.com

DeMarco Murray is in his sixth year in the NFL and had his best days in Dallas. He was named the league’s Offensive Player of the Year after leading the NFL and setting Cowboys franchise records in rushing yards with 1,845.

Eddie George is a four time Pro Bowler and has ran for 10,009 yards in seven years in Tennessee. The smashmouth runner helped carry the Titans to four playoffs appearances, two AFC Championships, and one Superbowl during that time.
