Special thanks to Maplewood High School’s own basketball star Bo Hodges, 2015-16’s Class AA Mr. Basketball, who took the time to answer some of your questions on this special edition of #AskTNS!
@austin.chambers asks: How far do you see Memphis going in the playoffs if at all?
If they can get Conley back, I think they’ll put up a good fight in the first round, but fall short of winning it. Injuries have struck them hard this season. Making it to the playoffs at this point would be historical.
@_junior_3_ asks: Do you think Jalen Ramsey will go to the Titans?
TNS Answer: That would be an interesting draft decision by Robinson. However, his potential plus McCourty’s talent would give us something else to look forward to next season.
Bo Hodges’ Answer: Yes I think it would be a great fit for him.
@_born2write_ asks: Thoughts on the Blue Raiders after win over Michigan State
TNS’ Answer: I didn’t watch the first half, so when my phone updated me on it every five minutes I was really surprised. I actually thought they were going to lose that game pretty badly.
Bo Hodges’ Answer: They surprised me with that win and they showed us they really are supposed to be playing in the big leagues.
@n_east34 asks: Who could be some names to replace Stallings at Vanderbilt?
It’s said that Kevin Stallings will be retained by Vanderbilt, however it’s not very likely. Names to replace him? No idea, yet. I’ll be looking out for you.
@lperko3 asks: Will Murray fit in with Mariota?
Yes. The Titans have their best years when there’s a talented quarterback and a solid running back. The Titans have had good receivers, but not jaw-dropping ones. This organization is known for having a ground and pound running game. They’ll make it work.
@_kpfaff asks: Do you think the Grizzlies can win a playoff series?
It’ll be historic if they even make the playoffs. With these injuries, I don’t think they will. Unless Z-Bo, Conley, and Lance Stephenson show up and show out.
@matt_gemmell16 asks: Choose one for one game that you must win: Jake Locker, Vince Young, Kerry Collins.
Interesting question. Kerry Collins isn’t the reason why we were 10-0 in 2008. That had everything to do with CJ2K. So he’s automatically eliminated from my options. Between Locker and Young, I’m afraid that one of them will get injured before halftime and I’ll be screwed. But, if I had to choose between the two most injury prone quarterbacks in Titans history, I’ll go with Jake. He shows more calmness and poise in the clutch. Many people don’t know that he was one of the best when it came to two-minute offenses. They don’t know, of course, because he spent most of his time in sweatpants on the sideline. Besides, I don’t want to deal with Vince Young’s temper-tantrum if he fails to win us the game.
